Bryanna Campbell of the women's soccer team and Thomas Artmann of the men's rugby team have been named the Concordia Stingers athletes of the week for the period ending Oct. 16, 2022.
Campbell, a fourth-year defender, was a strong contributor in Concordia’s two games last week. She was exceptionally impressive in a 4-1 victory over the UQTR Patriotes on Sunday. The team captain scored the first goal in a must-win game that keeps the Stingers in the hunt for a playoff spot.
A 23-year-old Montrealer, Campbell is in Honours Psychology at Concordia.
Artmann, a dominant No. 8, was instrumental in helping the Stingers secure a 24-22 win over the Montréal Carabins on Saturday. He scored three of Concordia’s four tries, including the final points of the game in the 80th minute to secure the win and keep the Stingers in playoff contention. He was selected the player of the game.
