Director of Recreation and Athletics D'Arcy Ryan is pleased to announce more than 400 donations were made for a total of $207,384 to the Concordia Stingers 2022 Giving Tuesday campaign.
This year the fundraising goal was surpassed as Ryan and the Stingers coaches set $200,000 as the target. In the three years the department has participated in the initiative almost $600,000 has been donated.
“The impact of these gifts is profound,” Ryan said. “Every year we have been able to improve the student-athlete experience – whether it’s through increasing financial support or purchasing specialized equipment.
“Your gifts matter and are deeply appreciated.”
Special thanks go to George Lengvari, Bob Beriault, Richard MacKay and the anonymous donors who offered lead gifts and matching gifts, adding some excitement to the day and encouraging others with their generosity.
