Women's hockey win 5th straight, remain #1 in Canada

Women’s hockey is ranked first in U SPORTS and in the RSEQ with a 5-0 record and 10 points.

The Stingers headed to the CEPSUM Arena on Friday, Nov. 1 and shut out the Montréal Carabins 4-0. Forward Megan Bureau-Gagnon finished the game with 1 goal and 2 assists. Forward Émilie Lussier, Noémie Gaudreault, and Émilie Lavoie each scored a goal.

Lussier, and defenders Léonie Philbert and Alexandra-Anne Boyer all lead the RSEQ with 5 points in 5 games. Lussier also leads in goals (4).

Goaltenders Jordyn Verbeek and Arianne Leblanc sit on top of the conference in save percentage (.982 and .922, respectively) and goals-against average (.33 and 2.0).

Women’s hockey will be back at the Ed Meagher Arena on Friday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. as they will face the Bishop’s Gaiters for their Pink in the Rink game to raise awareness and support for Breast Cancer research.
