Women’s hockey is still undefeated with a 6-0 record and 12 points.
The Stingers headed to Place Bell on Sunday, Nov. 10, facing off against the McGill Martlets and came back with a 2-0 victory.
Forward Émilie Lussier scored both goals, one of them shorthanded, with forward Megan Bureau-Gagnon and defender Camille Richard assisting on the second goal.
Goaltender Arianne Leblanc made all 16 saves for her first shutout of the season, adding to the Stingers’ impressive record of only 5 goals allowed in 6 games. Lussier leads the RSEQ in goals and points (6 goals, 7 points in 6 games), while forward Jessymaude Drapeau and defender Alexandra-Anne Boyer have the second most points (6 points in 6 games).
Goaltenders Jordyn Verbeek and Arianne Leblanc lead the conference in save percentage (.982 and .940, respectively) and goals-against average (.33 and 1.5).
Women’s hockey will be back at the Ed Meagher Arena on Friday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. to face the Bishop’s Gaiters for their Pink in the Rink game to raise awareness and support for Breast Cancer research.
