Women's hockey start 2025 with their 12th straight win

Women’s hockey bested the McGill Martlets 2-1 in a close match-up on Friday, Jan. 17 and remain undefeated this season, sitting first in U SPORTS and in the RSEQ with a 12-0 record and 24 points.

Forward Camille Richard and defender Léonie Philbert were the goal-scorers. Goaltender Arianne Leblanc made 19 saves for the win.

Forward Émilie Lussier has the third-most goals in U SPORTS (12 goals in 11 games) and is second in points in the RSEQ (18 points).

Goaltenders Jordynn Verbeek and Arianne Leblanc lead the RSEQ in goals-against average (GAA) and save percentage (sv%) respectively. Verbeek has a 1.167 GAA and .933 sv% while Leblanc has a .940 sv% and a 1.412 GAA.

Women’s hockey will be back at the Ed Meagher Arena on Thursday, Jan. 23 at 7 p.m. to face off against the Bishop’s Gaiters.
