Men’s basketball beat the UQAM Citadins 77-70 in the RSEQ Semifinals and battled the Bishop’s Gaiters in the RSEQ final, ultimately falling short 75-61.
In the Semifinals, guard Alec Phaneuf led the Stingers, with 18 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals. Guard Jaheem Joseph also contributed 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals.
In the Final, guard Yohan Leger led the way with 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 steal. Guard Junior Mercy tallied 13 points, 9 rebounds, and 1 steal.
Women’s basketball lost to the Laval Rouge et Or in the RSEQ Semifinals by a final score of 80-53. Centre Serena Tchida led the Stingers with 21 points, 14 rebounds, and 1 assist.
