Concordia beat the X-Women 5-2 to advance to the national semifinal on Saturday.
After going down 2-0 early in the 2nd period, the Stingers unleashed 4-straight goals to take a 4-2 lead heading into the 3rd period. Jessymaude Drapeau scored to make it 2-1, then Megan Bureau-Gagnon tied the game at 2-2 with just under 9 minutes left in the middle period. Drapeau scored two more goals in the 2nd for the hat-trick.
In the third, Émilie Lussier sealed the victory with a goal at the 7:13 mark. Léonie Philbert was +3 and finished with 2 assists. Drapeau finished the game with 4 points, 3 goals and an assist. Jordyn Verbeek made 30 saves for the victory.
With the win, the Stingers move on to the U SPORTS semifinal on Saturday versus the winner of Alberta vs. Waterloo. The game will be at 4 p.m., and streamed by CBC Sports on YouTube.
