Two Stingers selected to represent France at Milano Cortina olympics

Two members of the Concordia Stingers women’s hockey program will be wearing France’s colours on the international stage this February, having been selected to represent their country at the Milano Cortina Olympic Games.

Emma Nonnemacher, a rookie with the Stingers, has earned her first Olympic selection after appearing in seven games so far this season. Born in Haguenau, France, Nonnemacher has previously represented France at the international level and now takes the next step in her hockey career with an Olympic appearance.

Former Stingers standout Alice Philbert also earned a spot on the French roster. After completing her final season at Concordia in 2023, Philbert moved to France, where she played for Wasquehal, before continuing her professional career in Italy with the EV Bozen Eagles of the EWHL. During her time with the Stingers, Philbert was a two-time RSEQ all-star and played a key role in one of the most successful eras in program history. She helped Concordia capture the 2021–22 U SPORTS national championship and was part of three RSEQ championship teams.

The Concordia Stingers are proud to see both current and former athletes representing France on hockey’s biggest international stage and wish Emma Nonnemacher and Alice Philbert the best of luck at the Milano Cortina Olympics.
