As part of Homecoming festivities, the Concordia Department of Recreation and Athletics will Web cast its first ever hockey game - a battle between the Stingers and the Toronto Varsity Blues men's teams at the Ed Meagher Arena - on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Chuck Halliday, everyone's favorite hockey announcer and the host of the Team 990's weekly fantasy sports show, will move into the pressbox to handle the broadcast. He will be joined by Mike Le Couteur, a Concordia alumnus and full-time reporter with Global TV in Montreal.
The Webcast has been made possible by the university's creative media team from Instructional and Information Technology Services. It will be available for viewing at the stingers web site
Before the puck drops on the game more than 250 people will gather for a pregame cocktail where new Concordia president Claude Lajeunesse will meet varsity alumni and the Stinger athletes.
