McGrath joins Riders at CFL camp

Gerry McGrath, head coach of the Concordia Stingers football team, is a guest coach at the Saskatchewan Roughriders training camp at Mosaic Stadium in Regina.

Coach is spending two weeks with the Riders. He has been brought in to work with special teams co-ordinator Kavis Reed and the kickers – Luca Congi, Jamie Boreham and Kevin Scott.

An ardent student of the game, he will also sit in on offensive meetings.

McGrath spent seven seasons as a kicker in the CFL with Saskatchewan, Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal. This will be his 14th CFL camp – he attended nine as an athlete and has been a guest coach at another five.

Other Stingers to watch around the CFL camps include: punters Burke Dales and Mike Renaud (Calgary Stampeders) and long snapper Chris Cvetkovic (Winnipeg Blue Bombers).
