Laroche, Desmarais on cage honor roll

Concordia Stingers Evens Laroche and Kyle Desmarais earned spots on the RSEQ honor roll announced recently.

Laroche, a fifth-year forward from Montreal, was named to the Quebec conference’s first all-star team. He suited up for 15 games and averaged 30.3 minutes of playing time this season.

With an average of 15.1 points a game, he finished third in RSEQ scoring. He was fifth in rebounding with 7.0 a game and fourth in steals with an average of 1.9.

This is the third time Laroche has been a first team all-star in his university career.

Desmarais, a fourth-year guard who is also from Montreal, was named to the second team. He dressed for 10 games and averaged 29.1 minutes of playing time.

He was fourth in conference scoring with 15.0 points a game. He was first in steals with 2.6 a game and fourth in assists with an average of 3.2.

This is Desmarais’ third time in three seasons on the honor roll. He was a first team all-star in 2011 and named to the second team the last two seasons.
