Men's soccer adds Power Academy star midfielder

Head coach Greg Sutton is pleased to announce Henry Barutciski, a highly-regarded attacking midfielder from the Power Soccer Academy in Toronto, will join the Concordia Stingers men’s soccer team in August.

“Henry is an athletic player,” Sutton said of his latest recruit. “He covers a lot of ground in the middle of the field. He reads the play and reads the game well. He will add quality and depth to our midfield.”

Barutciski has been with the Power Academy since 2008. He is currently playing for Power in the Soccer Academy Alliance Canada U20 spring league. He has scored two goals in three games to date.

In 2013, he was invited to tryout with Fulham Academy in England, a rare honor for a Canadian soccer player.

The 18 year old will graduate from Lycée Français Toronto in the spring.

Barutciski ,who checks in at five foot seven, 150 pounds, joins his older brother Eli who has been with the Stingers since 2015.
