Head coach Greg Sutton is pleased to announce RSEQ all-star Olivier Roy from les Dynamiques du Cégep Ste. Foy has committed to the Concordia Stingers men's soccer team.
“Olivier is an exciting player that has the ability to play in different wide positions,” said Sutton. “I'm confident he will be able to come in and contribute right away in year one and make it difficult for any opponent who has to deal with his skill and pace. We are excited to watch him grow in this environment.”
Roy, who calls Rivière du Loup, Que. home, played 10 games with les Dynamiques in 2021. The winger/fullback scored two goals and was named to the conference honour roll.
“I chose Concordia because they are offering the best mix for my academic and athletic needs,” said Roy. “But also because I truly believe the team has something special. The Stingers had a great season last year and I think this team could soon be one of the best in the country.”
Roy plans to pursue a Specialization in Mathematical and Computational Finance at Concordia.
