Head coach Greg Sutton is pleased to announce two-time RSEQ all-star midfielder Quentin Bourgeais from Collège Ahunstic has committed to the Concordia Stingers men's soccer team.
"Quentin will give us another real dynamic piece that can play in the midfield,” said Sutton. “With a great record of success playing at Ahuntsic we know that his compete level will be where it needs to be when he puts on the Stingers jersey."
Bourgeais played three seasons with the perennial powerhouse Ahuntsic Aigles. His team won a silver medal at the Canadian College Athletic Association (CCAA) championship in 2018. He has many individual honours to his credit, including two RSEQ all-star awards (2019 and 2021) and being named a CCAA all-Canadian last season.
"I have decided to join the Stingers because they have an excellent sports program with great ambitions, which can lead to many opportunities for the future," said Bourgeais, an attacking midfielder who has excellent vision of the game.
At Concordia, he will pursue his studies in Communications.
Bourgeais, who is from Nantes, France, is currently playing for St. Laurent in the PLSQ semi-pro league.
