The Concordia Department of Recreation and Athletics is pleased to announce it will participate in Giving Tuesday, a global day of creating positive impact that will be held Tuesday, Nov. 29.
This day of giving was first observed in 2012 as a way to encourage people to make donations and to volunteer. It has become an annual tradition celebrated on the Tuesday following American Thanksgiving.
This is the third time the Stingers will participate in the initiative. The previous two brought a total of $400,000 to the department and helped with additional specialized equipment, study hall resources and much more.
“Our athletic leadership is devoted to ambitious goals and determined to provide winning conditions for our student-athletes to succeed in their sports and in their academic pursuits,” said D’Arcy Ryan, the Director of Recreation and Athletics.
“Delivering an elite Stinger experience is of the highest priority and takes a concerted effort from our coaches, staff and supporters. Your gift will go a long way towards building pride and creating winning conditions for our Stingers.”
We are calling all alumni and fans to direct their support to their favorite Concordia Stingers program on Giving Tuesday. Your gift will help the athletics department offer the best conditions for academic and athletic success.
