The Concordia Stingers have been ranked No. 6 by the U Sports Men's Hockey Championship committee ahead of the eight-team Cavendish Farms University Cup tournament which runs from Thursday to Sunday in Charlottetown, P.E.I.
The OUA bronze medallist Stingers will meet the No. 3-seeded UNB Reds in a quarter-final matchup on Thursday at 7 p.m. (ADT). The Reds won the AUS, eliminating the Saint Mary’s Huskies in the third-and-deciding game of their championship series last Thursday.
In 2018, which was the last time Concordia qualified for the nationals, the Stingers also ran into UNB in the quarter-finals and lost 8-1.

6. Concordia – OUA bronze – 19-7 – 2nd OUA East
7. Saint Mary’s – AUS finalist – 20-9-1 – 2nd AUS
8. UPEI – Host – 17-10-3 – 3rd AUS
The quarter-finals will take place Thursday and Friday. The semifinals are scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. On Sunday, the bronze medal game is set for 1 p.m. and the championship game is at 7 p.m. (All times Atlantic).
