Men's Hockey with 3-straight wins heading into rematch vs. UQTR

After beating the Patriotes 2-1 at UQTR on Oct. 9, and the Carleton Ravens 10-1 in the Stingers’ home opener on Sunday - Oct. 13, men’s hockey are on a three-game winning streak where they've scored a total of 21 goals and only allowed 4 goals.

Forward Gabriel Proulx opened the scoring late in the first period against UQTR. Although the Patriotes tied the game shortly after, it was a shorthanded goal by defenceman Simon Lavigne that secured the 2-1 win for the Stingers with 21 seconds left in the first frame.

In a dominant home opener, forward Mathieu Bizier finished the game with 2 goals and an assist. Lavigne tallied a goal and 2 assists. Forwards Charles Savoie, Vincent Nardonne, Charlie Campbell, Alexandre Nadeau, and defenceman Sean Larochelle each had a goal and an assist. Forwards Isiah Campbell and Loïck Daigle scored a goal each, and goaltender Nikolas Hurtubise made 21 saves.

Bizier is currently tied for most points in the OUA and tied for second in goals, with 7 points, 4 goals, and 3 assists.

Men’s hockey will be back on home ice as they face off against UQTR on Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m.
