Men’s hockey is ranked first in the OUA and second in U SPORTS with a 12-0-2 record and 26 points.
The Stingers travelled to Ottawa on Nov. 14 where they were defeated by the Gee-Gees in overtime by a final score of 4-3.
Forward Alexandre Nadeau finished the game with a shorthanded goal, forward Vincent Nardone also scored a goal, and defenceman Simon Lavigne scored on the powerplay. Goaltender Nikolas Hurtubise made 25 saves.
Men’s hockey was back at home on Saturday, Nov. 16 for their Pink in the Rink game, where they faced off against the Western Mustangs and won 5-4.
Forward Blake Richardson finished the game with 2 goals and 1 assist. Forward Charles Savoie tallied a goal and an assist, and defencemen Sean Larochelle and Nathan Lavoie each scored a goal. Hurtubise made 16 saves for the win.
Forward Mathieu Bizier has the second-most points in the OUA (17 points in 14 games). Lavigne has the second-most goals in the conference (9 goals in 14 games), also leading all-defencemen in goals in U SPORTS.
