Philippe Hudon of the men’s hockey team has been named the Concordia Stingers athlete of the week for the period ending Dec. 6.
Hudon, a second-year right wing, was exceptional in two games with the Stingers on the weekend. He scored two goals, including the game-winner, in a 5-1 victory over the Laurentian Voyageurs last Friday. The following day the Stingers lost 3-1 to the Nipissing Lakers. Nevertheless head coach Marc-André Element praised Hudon’s work ethic. He has nine goals and six assists in 15 games in the first half of the season.
The 22-year-old student from Hudson, Que. is studying in the Faculty of Arts and Science.
