With a 4-3 triple overtime win over the Carleton Ravens in playoff action Wednesday night in Ottawa, the Concordia Stingers enter the OUA men's hockey history books and earn a few mentions in the U Sports book as well.
The game, which was the first of a best-of-three series in Round 2 of the OUA playoffs, took six periods and 115:18 minutes to decide. It was the longest OUA playoff game on record.
It goes down as the fourth-longest men’s overtime game in U Sports hockey history and the second longest involving an OUA team.

Veteran defenceman Carl Neill scored the goal on a setup from rookie forward Félix Lauzon. Other Stinger goal scorers on the night were Colin Grannary and Tyler Hylland with two. The latter has five goals in four playoff games this month.
Goaltender Kyle Jessiman turned away 58 of 61 shots over the six periods.
Game 2 of the series is set for Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Ed Meagher Arena in N.D.G., 7200 Sherbrooke St. W.
