This Giving Tuesday you can double your gift to the Concordia Stingers men's hockey team thanks to an anonymous benefactor who will match up to $50,000 in donations.
“I am humbled by the generosity,” said head coach Marc-André Elément. “I cannot tell you how much it means to me and everyone associated with our program. It’s an incredible feeling to know someone believes in us and what we are trying to achieve.
“This is an exceptional opportunity to move our program forward. I sincerely hope all our alumni, families and friends will help us take advantage of the offer to match donations.”
With the extra support, Elément wants to provide his players with more financial aid, fund full-time assistant coaching staff to better scout, train and retain top talent and to travel to non-conference competitions and games hosted by NCAA institutions to test the Stingers’ prowess against the top teams in North America.
Giving Tuesday takes place this Dec. 1 and is a global day of creating positive impact. It has become a wide-spread tradition celebrated on the Tuesday following American Thanksgiving.
