Donor will match $50,000 in men's hockey gifts on Giving Tuesday

An anonymous donor has stepped up to give the Concordia Stingers men's hockey team a tremendous boost heading into Giving Tuesday on Nov. 29.

Thanks to a generous benefactor, you can double your gift to the men’s hockey team as he will match up to $50,000 in donations.

“On behalf of everyone on our team, I’d like to say thank you,” said head coach Marc-André Elément. “The financial gift is significant but so is the respect. To know someone believes so strongly in us and what we are trying to accomplish, there are no words. But I guarantee we will be relentless in our pursuit of excellence and make all our supporters proud.”

Elément is always looking for ways to move the program forward and to enrich the student-athlete experience at Concordia. He’d like to have an expanded training camp that can include international travel and expose his team to higher levels of competition. He'd also like to purchase additional recovery equipment that will help players be at their best for games.

Giving Tuesday takes place this Nov. 29 and is a global day of creating positive impact. It has become a wide-spread tradition celebrated on the Tuesday following American Thanksgiving

Elément invites all men’s hockey alumni, families and friends to take advantage of the offer to match donations. You can visit the team’s Giving Tuesday page HERE

All donations made from now through Nov. 29 will be counted in the campaign. All gifts are eligible for charitable tax receipts.
