Concordia Stinger head coach Marc-André Elément picked up his 100th career victory in OUA regular season play with a 5-1 victory over the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks on the road last Friday.
Elément, a former Stinger captain, was named interim head coach in 2015 and officially took over the program a year later. He’s been on the bench for 177 regular season games and has a 100-59-18 record.
When exhibition and playoff games are added to his record, Elément stands at 133-95-18.
Elément picked up his 101st win the following day with a 10-3 win over the RMC Paladins in Kingston, Ont.
Concordia is currently in second place in the 10-team OUA East conference with 16 wins and just seven losses. The team is ranked No. 8 in U Sports.
The Stingers have three games left in regular season play – all at home. They host the Ottawa Gee-Gees Friday at 7:30 p.m. and the Carleton Ravens Saturday at 7 p.m. The Queen’s Gaels will be the visitors Feb. 10 at 7:30 p.m.
