Three members of the Concordia Stingers flag football program have been named to Team Canada's Senior Women's National Team for the 2026 IFAF Flag Football World Championships, set to take place in Düsseldorf, Germany, beginning Aug. 13.
Quarterback Sara Parker and receivers Laura Molimard and Caroline Moquin-Joubert will represent Canada as the world's top teams compete for an international title and a chance to qualify for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, where flag football will make its Olympic debut.
A total of 32 nations will compete at the championships, with Canada entering the tournament ranked No. 4 in the world. The Canadian women will be looking to build on their recent international success while pursuing one of two Olympic qualification spots available to eligible nations.
Canada has been drawn into Group D, where it will face Panama (No. 12), Japan (No. 5) and Brazil (No. 15) during the preliminary round.

Among the three Stingers representing Canada is Moquin-Joubert, a familiar face in Concordia athletics. Before transitioning to flag football, she spent four seasons with the Stingers women's hockey team, helping the program capture two U SPORTS national championships and three RSEQ conference titles. She also served as team captain during her final season in 2024-25.
Parker, Molimard and Moquin-Joubert will now look to help Canada compete for a world championship and secure a place in history as flag football prepares to make its Olympic debut at the LA28 Games.
