Jennifer Duff of the women's soccer team and Emile Bouchard of the men’s hockey team have been named the Concordia Stingers athletes of the week for the period ending Oct. 2.
Duff, a third-year forward, was exceptional in Concordia’s games on the weekend. The Stingers played two contests, both ending in 1-1 ties. Duff scored both goals. With four goals and an assist this season, she is the leading scorer on the Stingers and ranks third in the Quebec conference.
A 22-year-old native of Moncton, N.B., Duff is currently studying Urban Studies at Concordia.
Bouchard, a third-year right wing, was a key contributor in Concordia’s 5-2 victory over the RMC Paladins in preseason action on Sunday. He scored two goals to pace the Stingers. Bouchard and the Stingers open the season with two games in Windsor versus the Lancers this weekend.
The 22-year-old student from Verchères, Que. studies in the Finance program at Concordia.
