Stingers men's rugby blank Carleton 45-0

The Concordia Stingers men’s rugby team continued their strong start to the season on Sunday, September 21, shutting out the Carleton Ravens 45-0 to improve to 1-0-1. The first game of the men's rugby season was a 34-34 tie versus Montréal.

Christopher Macgregor earned team MVP honours with a two-try performance, powering the Stingers’ attack. Jaxon Alexander, Michael Cavaliere, Kalan Despa, Jackson Veinot, and Jack Weller also crossed the try line in the victory. Phil Hacala added four conversions, while Kyle Shibata chipped in with another to round out the scoring.

With the win, Concordia sits in third place in the RSEQ standings behind ÉTS and McGill. The Stingers will look to keep their unbeaten run alive when they visit ÉTS on September 28 at 1 p.m.
