Jean Bidal to give rugby clinic at Concordia

The Concordia Stingers rugby program in association with Rugby Québec will host a coaching clinic featuring respected instructor Jean Bidal on July 4-5 at the Concordia athletic complex in N.D.G.

Bidal, a native of France, is an accomplished coach and a leading authority on “the moving game.” He authored a book titled, “Rugby Tactique, lancements d’attaques et enchaînements de jeu.”

A sought-after coach, he has been brought in to consult with rugby federations in Chile, Japan, Andorra and Moldova. He also has extensive experience with France’s U16 and U18 national teams.

“We welcome Jean Bidal’s involvement in improving the coaching abilities of all the local coaches and particularly of our Concordia coaches,” said Clive Gibson, head coach of the Stingers men’s team. “It is an honor to host such a renowned international coach at our university.”

Bidal will lecture, analyze some Quebec team performances and take the coaches out on the field at Concordia stadium where members of the Stingers and the Quebec U18 boys team will serve as demonstrators.
