Women’s basketball scored over 100 points on Sunday against UQAM, winning by a final score of 106-54.
Guard Alice Fleming set a new RSEQ record for most 3-pointers made in a game with 10, breaking the old record of 7. She had a career-high 36 points in that game.
Centre Serena Tchida also contributed 30 points, 7 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 assists, and 1 block.
Men’s basketball racked up two more wins at home last week, and are ranked second in the RSEQ with a 12-2 record and 24 points.
The Stingers beat the Laval Rouge et Or 89-63 on Friday, Feb. 14. Guard Alec Phaneuf contributed 16 points, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds, while guard Yohan Leger had 16 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals.
Men’s basketball reached 100 points for the first time this season on Sunday, Feb. 16, beating the UQAM Citadins 109-80. Forward Ba-Amara Djame led the team with 21 points, 7 rebounds, 1 block, and 1 assist. Phaneuf also tallied 19 points, 7 assists, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals.
Men’s basketball will be back at the John Dore Court to face the McGill Redbirds for the George Lengvari Cup for one last home game on Thursday, Feb. 20 at 6 p.m.
