The Concordia Stingers women’s basketball team honoured seniors Victoria Lawrence and Serena Tchida before tip-off on Senior Night, but dropped a tight 52-50 decision to the Bishop’s Gaiters.
Tchida led the way with 14 points and nine rebounds, adding a steal and a block in the loss. The senior continues to dominate the conference, averaging 16.1 points and 10.1 rebounds per game — leading the RSEQ in both categories.
Lawrence, known for her defensive presence, is averaging a league-best 3.9 steals per game this season.
With one game remaining, the Stingers sit at 5-10 and in fourth place in the RSEQ standings. Women's basketball wrap up the regular season on Saturday, Feb. 21 at UQAM at 1 p.m., before traveling to Quebec City to play Laval in the RSEQ semifinal.
