It is with great sadness that the Concordia Stingers share the news of the death of Jean Desir Fils Milfort, an offensive lineman who joined the football program last January.
He died early Sunday morning in a car accident in his hometown of Kirkland, Que.
“JD was an outstanding young man,” said football coach Gerry McGrath. “I have never seen JD without a warm smile on his face and a spring in his step. He always demonstrated a positive attitude, and I have no doubt he would have become a great friend and teammate to all of us in the Stinger family.
“On behalf of the Concordia Stingers and the Concordia Athletics Department we send our profound condolences to JD’s family and loved ones.”
Milfort, 21, came to the Stingers after a successful CEGEP football career at John Abbott College.
Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
