Montreal Carabins running back Rotrand Sené rushed for 118 yards and two touchdowns to lead his team to a 38-0 victory over the Concordia Stingers on Friday night.
The No. 3-ranked Carabins had 29 first downs and a total offence of 491 yards. Quarterback Alexandre Nadeau-Piuze completed 13 of 23 passes for 244 yards and a touchdown. His favorite target was Ali Ndao who caught five passes for 96 yards and the major.
Concordia rolled up 245 yards of offence and 14 first downs. Quarterback Reid Quest completed 14 of 26 passes for 168 yards. He also threw three interceptions.
The player of the game for the Stingers was wide receiver Sanchez Deschamps who caught five passes for 95 yards. He was awarded the Concordia Homecoming Cup in recognition of his strong play.
Concordia linebacker Travis Bent led all tacklers in the game with nine, including a sack.
The Stingers’ win-loss record falls to 2-3 while the Carabins are now undefeated in five games. Next Saturday the Stingers host the Sherbrooke Vert & Or in the annual Shrine Bowl.
