The Concordia Stingers women’s basketball team was edged out 51-48 by the McGill Martlets in the RSEQ championship game on Saturday afternoon.

Stinger rookie forward Marilyse Roy-Viau led all scorers in the game with 18 points, while Anneth Him-Lazarenko was McGill’s top performer with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Concordia University President Dr. Alan Shepard cheered on the Stingers during the game and presented the team members with their silver medals afterwards.
